Misty has a willing disposition and always tries her best. She is a sporthorse type with a pretty, refined head and long, thick, curly eyelashes. Misty has stopped growing earlier than most of our Curly Horses and measures 14.1 1/2 hands, making her pony sized. Misty is started under saddle and doing well, making her an excellent kids pony with her kind, sweet, temperament. Misty was bred to our black sporthorse stallion, *Mead's Aishihik Twist. Misty had a lovely curly bay fillie.

Moonlight is a handsome curly grullo stallion with a white star and two hind socks. His dam has the presence of a stallion with very beautiful movement and his sire is black with big bold movement. Both parents have well musceled hindquarters and an intelligent kind temperament. It is no wonder this stallion is extra special and would make a wonderful herd sire or dressage prospect. Moonlight has a lovely split mane and long full tail to go with his good looks. Moonlight has been DNA colour tested and is a very rare find for someone wanting to breed black, grulla, and buckskin horses, even when bred to red based mares. Moonlight is homozygous for black and he also carries the cream gene! Tested E/E, a/a, N/Cr.

Lightning is a smooth coated yellow dun gelding with one white sock and blaze. He has high withers, a good sloping shoulder, and well sprung ribs. He moves lightly across the ground with nice suspension. Lightning measures over 16 hands as a 4 year old. He is expected to reach 16.1-16.2 hands. He has an exceptional kind, sweet temperament. Lightning has had three months of saddle training and really seems to enjoy being ridden. He is soft in the mouth, moving nicely to leg aids. He has a huge ground covering trot and lovely canter. Although he is still a young horse, Lightning is very gentle and not spooky at all. He has also been ridden on the trails quite a bit and he loves it. Lightning would make an excellent eventer or endurance horse with his large size, huge stride, and kind, not afraid of anything, willing to please temperament.
Update: Lightning has had a month of dressage training and started over small jumps.

Onyx was born a curly, jet black colour like his sire. He looks very much like his full brother Jet Star, so we will have Onyx colour tested to see if he is homozygous for black as well. Onyx is very well put together with lots of suspension, natural uphill and forward movement. He has oodles of presence and a bold, curious temperament. Although Onyx is shown here on on our foals for sale page, we have not yet made the final decision whether he will be offered for sale or staying here as a keeper colt.

Midnite Beauty is a black looking curly mare 15 hands as a 4 year old and confirmed in foal by our black stallion Aishihik Twist for April 2012. Although Midnite is not considered a true black genetically, she looks black except for the brown on her muzzle. The interesting thing is Midnite is homozygous for black or black-based coloured off-spring. She will not have a chestnut foal, even if the sire is red. She has been DNA colour tested as E/E, A/a. She has very nice conformation with a refined head, large eyes, curled eyelashes, and strong well developed hindquarters. We expect Midnite is also homozygous for curl as she has some of the extreme traits. She does keep a nice healthy hair coat all year and grows mane and tail during the winter. Her movement is powerful, yet her temperament is kind and sweet.

Rosie had some dressage training in her past, had a lovely foal, and has also been used for trail riding. She is very agile and athletic with a nice smooth trot and canter. Rosie is a versatile mare and could be trained further in dressage or as a western reining horse. We are offering this lovely mare for sale, only because we have some home bred stock we wish to keep and we prefer to keep our herd small. Rosie is confirmed in foal for March 2013 by *Mead's Aishihik Twist.
